Privacy Policy
We design school transportation technology around clear access, limited data use and the safety of children and families.
1. Scope and current launch status
This policy applies to VanSekolah.com and its public website. Account registration and parent login are not currently open. When the service launches, additional in-product notices may apply to parents, guardians, children, drivers and operator partners.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on the service used, information may include parent or guardian contact details, child and school details, approved pickup or drop-off locations, operator and driver records, vehicle information, trip events, support enquiries, billing records and device or security logs.
3. Children’s and location data
Information about a child must be provided by an authorised parent or guardian. Live vehicle location is intended to be shared only during an active journey and only with authorised users involved in that journey. We do not intend to use children’s data for behavioural advertising.
4. How information is used
Information may be used to assess route availability, coordinate transport, verify drivers and vehicles, record pickup and handover events, provide journey notifications, support families, manage billing, prevent misuse, meet legal duties and improve service reliability.
5. Sharing and disclosure
Relevant information may be shared with the assigned verified operator, driver, authorised guardian and service providers that support hosting, communications, maps, security or payments. Access should be limited to what is necessary. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to protect safety and legal rights.
6. Security and retention
VanSekolah.com intends to apply reasonable organisational and technical safeguards, role-based access and controlled retention periods. Information should not be kept longer than necessary for its stated purpose, safety records, dispute handling or legal obligations.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access to or correction of their personal data, ask questions about processing, withdraw consent where relevant or raise a concern. Certain information may need to be retained where required for safety, contractual or legal reasons.
8. Cookies and website data
The public website may use essential technical storage and limited analytics to maintain security and understand site performance. Any non-essential tracking will be introduced with appropriate notice and controls.
9. Malaysia privacy framework
Our privacy programme is intended to reflect the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Act 709), including notice and choice, disclosure, security, retention, data integrity and access principles. This policy may be updated as the service and regulatory requirements develop.
